Breaking News: Arrest made by Lexington Police at local traffic stop

Officers with the Lexington Police Department arrested Gabriel Pastrana, age 20, of Winston-Salem, following a traffic stop on Winston Road earlier this week.

Further investigation by officers during the stop indicated that Pastrana was found to be wearing a tactical vest with body armor and was in possession of a pistol grip AK-47 with extra loaded magazines.

Pastrana was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and open containers of alcohol. Pastrana was arrested without incident and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, open container, and numerous traffic violations.

He was held in the Davidson County Jail on a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 26th in Lexington.Further investigation by officers during the stop indicated that Pastrana was found to be wearing a tactical vest with body armor and was in possession of a pistol grip AK-47 with extra loaded magazines.
