Creative Writer’s Group Kicking Off First Gathering in Lexington Oct. 16
The first Writer’s Gathering is Sunday, Oct. 16 at 2 pm at Pig City Books in Lexington. This event is for anyone looking to expand their writing skills and engage with a community of local writers in a low pressure environment. The only requirement for group participation is a willingness to grow as a writer.

At the October 10, 2022 meeting of the Davidson County Board of Commissioners, the Board voted unanimously to waive Landfill fees for the disposal of deer carcasses.
Domestic Violence: Loss of grant funding impacts those filing protective orders
Family Services of Davidson County (FSDC) on September 30 ended its expanded advocacy program which provided support and advocacy during the electronic filing of domestic violence protective orders. Loss of funding through the Governor’s Crime Commissions forced the end of services.

Lexington Officers investigate stabbing on Curry Street
Early this morning, Lexington Police Officers responded to a reported stabbing on Curry Street. After officers secured the scene and began an investigation, they learned that two male roommates at the residence got into an argument during the early morning hours.
