Three-Vehicle Crash Injures Deputy, Others
A Davidson County Sheriff’s Office deputy and several other people were injured in a three-vehicle collision Saturday morning, Sept. 26, on U.S. Highway 64 east of Cunningham Road.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, troopers were dispatched to the crash at 9:26 a.m.
Vehicles 2 and 3 were stopped in the roadway because of stopped traffic. Vehicle 1, driven by the DCSO deputy, struck the rear of Vehicle 2, which then struck the rear of Vehicle 3.
After the initial collision, Vehicle 1 traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch.
The deputy and occupants of Vehicle 2 were transported to Thomasville Hospital with minor injuries.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
