Barbecue, festival will be focus of meeting

Join Caleb Sink, author of Lexington Barbecue: A Hickory-Smoked History, and Barbecue Festival Master of Ceremonies Lee Jessup for an evening celebrating Lexington’s barbecue heritage!

The Genealogical Society of Davidson County will host the event on Oct. 19 at Barbecue Center. Those wishing to eat should arrive at 6:30 p.m., with each party paying their own way. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m.

Sink will discuss the founding fathers of Lexington-style barbecue, while Jessup will share stories and memories from the Lexington Barbecue Festival.
