A Photo Gallery: Archaeological Survey of the slave grave in the Lexington City Cemetery

On Thursday afternoon, July 6, surveyors from Richard Grubb and Associates were in town to conduct fieldwork on the slave burial site at the Lexington City Cemetery which is approximately 3,800 square feet. Over 30 residents, city officials and staff were present to witness the significant moment and ask questions of the surveyors.

A final report with detailed findings is expected later this year.
