Davidson County Sheriff makes arrest for Street Takeover Events

In June of 2023 the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation involving in to Street Take Over Events occurring in Davidson County. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office worked together with multiple surrounding agencies to form a Street Takeover Task Force who assisted in this investigation. Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office worked to identify the individuals promoting, planning, and participating in these types of events. During the preliminary investigations multiple vehicle used in the events, were seized during the execution of multiple search warrants. On Monday, April 8th, 2023 Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office testified before the Grand Jury who returned true bill of indictments for Tyrese McFalling, Edgar Colon, and DeAndre Williams for Felony Inciting to Riot. After the indictments were returned a Superior Court Judge gave orders for arrest for each individual.

On Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 DeAndre Williams was arrested by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Trace Team for the outstanding order for arrest for Felony Inciting a Riot. Mr. Williams was transported to the Magistrate’s Office, where he placed under a $10,000 secured bond. Mr. Williams was then released to the custody of the Davidson County Jail without further incident.

On Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 Tyrese McFalling was arrested by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office for the outstanding order for arrest for Felony Inciting a Riot. Mr. McFalling was placed in the Randolph County Jail, under a $150,000 secured bond.

On Thursday, April 11th, 2024 Edgar Colon was arrested by the Winston-Salem Police Department for the outstanding order for arrest for Felony Inciting a Riot. Winston-Salem Police Department was transferred to the custody of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Colon was transported to the Magistrate’s Office, where he placed under a $150,000 secured bond. Mr. Colon was then released to the custody of the Davidson County Jail without further incident.

This investigation is still ongoing and further chargers are expected in the future.
