Davidson County Young Professionals Finding Their Footing

Davidson County Young Professionals Finding Their Footing

A new networking group has taken root in Davidson County, aiming to connect career-driven locals and newcomers who are eager to meet friends and make professional connections.

The Davidson County Young Professionals, organized by Stephanie Huynh, held their first meeting in May 2025. Since then, the group of six founding members has been steadily building momentum, hosting monthly meetups designed to foster both friendship and collaboration.

“Our purpose is simple,” Huynh said. “We want to bring together like-minded, career-driven individuals within the county, with a heavy focus on socializing, meeting new friends, and making connections.”

A Group for Both Newcomers and Homecomers

Huynh noted that many people are moving into Davidson County and searching for ways to plug into the community, while others who grew up here are returning after college and looking to reestablish roots. The group welcomes both—and really, anyone interested in building relationships.

The effort isn’t tied to any official organization. Instead, it’s a grassroots project powered by six individuals with diverse backgrounds and career goals.

Monthly Meetups and Growing Reach

So far, the group has gathered twice in Lexington, with plans to expand into Thomasville. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at rotating venues across the county.

The next gathering is set for Wednesday, August 20, at 5:30 p.m. at Bull City.

Looking Ahead

Huynh hopes the Davidson County Young Professionals will continue to grow into a thriving hub of students, professionals, and community-minded residents.

“There are so many talented, strong working individuals here,” she said. “We know Davidson County has so much to offer, and we want this group to be part of that local growth.”
