Lexington City Schools announces RFQ for Facilities Assessment Study and Master Plan

The Lexington City Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking proposals from qualified firms to undertake the crucial task of conducting a Facilities Assessment Study and collaborating in the creation of the district's Facilities Master Plan.

Comprising one high school, one middle school, four elementary schools, an administration facility, and a maintenance facility, Lexington City Schools cater to the educational needs of thousands of students within our community. In line with our commitment to providing top-tier facilities conducive to learning and growth, the Board of Education is initiating this comprehensive study and planning endeavor.

The primary objective of the Facilities Assessment Study is to evaluate the current state of our educational infrastructure, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. This study will serve as the foundation for the development of a robust Facilities Master Plan that aligns with our long-term educational goals and community needs.

"We are dedicated to ensuring that our students have access to safe, modern, and functional learning environments," said Dr. Nakia Hardy, Superintendent of Lexington City Schools. "By conducting this Facilities Assessment Study and creating a comprehensive Master Plan, we're laying the groundwork to ensure that every child in Lexington City Schools has access to the best possible learning environment."

Interested design firms with proven expertise in educational facility planning and assessment are invited to submit their qualifications in response to this RFQ. The Board of Education anticipates awarding a single contract to the most qualified firm for the services required.

Submissions should be sent to:
