Lexington Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire at 1004 Eleanor Dr
LEXINGTON, NC – At approximately 4:20 p.m. on July 14, 2025, the Lexington Fire Department responded to a Structure Fire on Eleanor Dr. Upon dispatch crews were advised that the inside of the residence was on fire.
Crews arrived to find smoke pushing from the sides and eaves of the house. Crews arrived and confirmed there was active fire involvement and initiated fire mitigation efforts.
A rapid-fire attack and search of the building which limited the fire from breaching the attic was performed. Lexington Fire crews were successful in keeping the fire contained to the area of origin through two attack lines being deployed simultaneously..
Crews performed extensive overhaul on the building to confirm no fire remained and no occupants were inside. Three occupants were displaced by the fire and given aid by the American Red Cross.
Assisting crews were Lexington Fire Marshals Office, West Lexington Fire, and Davidson County Emergency Medical Services. No injuries were sustained by firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
