Holiday Market at Axehole to Support Veterans Through The Fallen Outdoors

Holiday Market at Axehole to Support Veterans Through The Fallen Outdoors

A local group is inviting the community to shop with purpose this holiday season. On December 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a Holiday Market will be held at Axehole, located at 280 N. Talbert Blvd. in Lexington. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for The Fallen Outdoors (TFO), a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting veterans, active-duty service members, and Gold Star families.

The Fallen Outdoors is an all-volunteer organization that offers therapeutic outdoor experiences—such as hunting, fishing, and other outdoor adventures—to help veterans find healing, camaraderie, and renewed purpose. Their work plays a meaningful role in combating veteran suicide while strengthening bonds within the military community.

“Our country would not be what it is without our great military and vets and their families.” This belief, shared by event organizers, is at the heart of the Holiday Market’s mission. By supporting TFO, the event aims to honor those who have served and provide resources that foster connection and emotional well-being.

The market will feature a wide range of local vendors, offering shoppers a chance to pick up unique last-minute Christmas gifts. Families will also have the opportunity to enjoy pictures with Santa, making the event a festive outing for all ages.

Organizers hope the community will turn out in support—both to enjoy the holiday fun and to stand behind the veterans who have given so much.
