Below are the advertising guidelines and deadlines for candidates and political organizations for the 2026 election cycle. Announcements may run at any time, but our next wave of banners begins January 5th. Political advertisements are not endorsements from the publication or our independent team members.
Our website range between 50,000 to 120,000 readers per month, and we publish 7 days a week. Davidson Local content is also picked up by multiple mobile apps and national news platforms, including Newsbreak, expanding your ad’s reach beyond Davidson County. We are the only local news source sharing stories in English and Spanish. This is truly a community service because we publish for free.
We’re also expanding our advertising reach to mobile users who don’t already follow our website or social media. Through partnerships with third-party news aggregators and mobile platforms, your ads will appear in stories and feeds that reach new audiences across Davidson County and beyond.
Through our syndication on platforms like Newsbreak, SmartNews, Apple News, and others, Davidson Local reaches thousands of mobile users who may not regularly visit our website or follow us on social media. These placements drive fresh traffic and offer additional visibility, especially for time-sensitive messages like election campaign ads. Our readers aren’t limited to browsers—we meet them where they scroll, tap, and share.
As members of the North Carolina Press Association, we follow publisher guidelines and standards for digital media. We maintain a firm separation between our editorial and advertising content. Advertising Expectations & Guidelines:
Davidson Local will continue its commitment to editorial integrity. Our newsroom will not produce political ads. Candidates must supply their own promotional content.
Each round for advertising will need to be purchased 48 hours before publishing.
We require 48 business hours’ notice for any changes or adjustments to advertisements.
All advertisements must be paid in full before they are published.
Payments may be made by check to Bold and Bright Media DBA Davidson Local or online via our secure payment portal.

Ad Schedule & Deadlines:
$150 per month for banner advertising
$75 for 1 time announcements
All ads must be submitted and paid by the 25th of the preceding month
Add will run in order of purchase
Additional Options:
Spanish translation of ads is available for an additional fee of $100.
