Who: Davidson-Davie Community College Zoo and Aquarium Science programs.

What: Open Aquarium event.

When: From 4 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 27.

Where: The Sinclair Building on the Davidson Campus, located at 297 DCC Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.

Why: The Open Aquarium event is an exciting time to not only explore the aquarium at Davidson-Davie, but also an opportunity to learn about the Zoo and Aquarium pathways available at the college. The general public is invited to take part in animal encounters, as well as fun and games.

While there’s no set schedule for the event, habitats and animals that students interact with as part of their degree work will be showcased. The animals rotating through the encounters include snakes, sea stars, sea urchins, turtles and more.

Costumes are also welcome, and admission is free.
