Davidson County Man Charged Following Investigation Involving Juvenile

Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to an unrelated investigation during which electronic communication devices belonging to a juvenile were lawfully seized. The matter was subsequently assigned to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation.

During a forensic examination of those devices, investigators discovered evidence showing that the juvenile had engaged in sexual activity with Cameron Isaiah Blackstock, age 23, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. As a result of that discovery, Detectives immediately initiated an additional criminal investigation into the matter.

Throughout the course of the investigation, Detectives determined that the juvenile had left a residence in Davidson County without her guardian’s consent or knowledge. Investigators further learned that Cameron Blackstock came to Davidson County, picked up the juvenile and engaged in sexual activity on multiple occasions.

Arrest warrants were obtained for Blackstock for felony abduction of a child, felony statutory rape of a child, two counts of felony statutory sex offense and two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child.

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the Winston-Salem Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and Special Weapons and Tactics Team assisted Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office with the execution of a search warrant at Blackstock’s residence in Forsyth County. Blackstock was located and taken into custody without incident. He was then transported back to Davidson County, and the arrest warrants were served. The magistrate set no bond on Blackstock, and he was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center.

On Friday, April 17, 2026, Blackstock appeared in Davidson County District Court and received a $825,000.00 secured bond. Blackstock’s is scheduled to appear in Davidson County District Court on May 1, 2026.

Per North Carolina General Statute 15A-532, Judicial officials determine conditions for release of persons in Judicial proceedings. Bond amounts are not set by members of law enforcement. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
