Organizer Tonya McCarn said the goal is to help girls feel confident and beautiful while staying within their budgets.
“This is our first time hosting this event but we would love to make this an annual event that girls can look forward to,” McCarn said. “Our goal is to help girls find a beautiful dress on a budget. We also have some shoes and accessories as well.”
Dress prices will range from $20 to $550, offering options for a variety of budgets.
McCarn said the event is also accepting dress donations through next Friday. Donated dresses will be tagged with a special code so that when a girl brings the dress to the register, she will receive it free of charge.
Organizers hope the initiative will help ensure that every girl who attends prom has the opportunity to feel confident and celebrated on a special night.
