Thomasville officials request donations for time capsule and letters for soldiers
Contributed Community News
Missed the deadline to contribute to our Thomasville 250 Time Capsule? You're in luck! We're accepting last-minute contributions this week!
Bring your letters, photographs, small keepsakes, children's artwork, or other memories from 2026 to the Thomasville Tourism Depot at 44 W. Main Street.
We'd love to have your contributions as early as possible this week, but the absolute final deadline is Friday, October 30, at 12:00 noon (when it will be buried at the ceremony)!
Once this time capsule is buried, it won't be opened again until 2052, Thomasville's 200th birthday! Imagine your children or grandchildren discovering something YOU left behind 26 years from now!
AND YOU'RE INVITED TO THE CELEBRATION!
Join us for the Thomasville 250 Time Capsule Burial Celebration as we make a little history together!

This celebration is about more than burying a time capsule. It's about remembering who we are, celebrating where we've been, and leaving something meaningful for those who will call Thomasville home long after us.
Come for the fun. Stay for the history. Be part of the legacy!
Presented by the Thomasville 250 Committee in partnership with the City of Thomasville and Thomasville Tourism Commission.
