Lexington City Schools Opens Community & Staff Surveys as Part of Superintendent Search

The Lexington City Schools Board of Education is moving forward with the public input phase of its superintendent search and is inviting all parents, guardians, students, staff, and community stakeholders to participate. The Board is committed to a transparent, inclusive process that reflects the values and priorities of the Lexington community.

As part of this phase, a community survey is now open, with a Spanish-language version available to ensure accessibility for all families. Community members are encouraged to share their perspectives on the qualities, leadership attributes, and priorities they believe are most important in the district’s next superintendent.

LCS employees have also received a separate staff survey via internal email, allowing the district’s workforce to contribute insight into the needs and direction of Lexington City Schools. The staff survey is intended for employees only and is not accessible to the public.

Survey links can be found in the News section on the homepage of the district website at www.lexcs.org, as well as on the district’s official social media pages.

Statement from Board Chair Angela McDuffie, on behalf of the LCS Board of Education
“As we begin the next stage of the superintendent search, the Board is committed to ensuring that our community’s voice is at the center of this process. The feedback shared through these surveys will guide our understanding of the qualities and priorities that matter most to our families, staff, and community stakeholders. We strongly encourage everyone to participate, as your insights will help shape the future of Lexington City Schools.”

The Board will continue to share updates about the superintendent search process as additional information becomes available.
