A City of Lexington Parks and Recreation favorite is returning for Spring. On Saturday, April 10 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., the department will host Go Fly A Kite Day in Uptown Lexington.
It all started with a conversation. Sedley Abercrombie is a librarian and branch manager with the Davidson County Public Library (DCPL) system. During a chat she was having at Goose and the Monkey Brewhouse (GMBH), one of the bartenders was made aware of her profession. From there, Books & Brews was born.
A check for $100,000 has been issued to TRIP (Tourism Recreation Investment Partnership), to be used by Friends of the Yadkin River Park for improvements to the Yadkin River Park.
