On December 17, 2022, members of the Davidson County Fraternal Order of Police(FOP) Lodge #97 conducted its annual “COPS & KIDS CHRISTMAS SHOPPING EVENT,” by taking 28 children Christmas shopping at the Walmart Supercenter,1585 Liberty Drive, Ste. 1, in Thomasville. The Lodge spent approximately $4,000.00 on the purchase of toys and clothes for this event.

Guests are encouraged to bring their little ones between 10:30 and 12:30 p.m. Leading the way, this year's Grand Marshal for the day will be none other than NASCAR driver Timmy Hill of Hill Motorsports. It will additionally feature 115 parade participants and a stilt walker.
