Davidson-Davie Community College received $15.2 million in state capital and infrastructure funds to build a new emergency response and public health facility. These funds were part of the allocations of the state budget passed in November 2021.

United Furniture abruptly closed Triad plants. NCWorks and DavidsonWorks of Davidson County are hosting a job and resource fair Wednesday morning in response to recent abrupt layoffs by United Furniture in the Triad, including an upholstery plant in Lexington and a warehouse in Linwood.
