Kinetic by Windstream celebrated the grand opening of its large, new retail store in downtown Lexington. The Kinetic Connection Center lets the company expand the services and support it provides to Lexington-area customers.

Davidson-Davie announces largest healthcare apprenticeship in North Carolina
Davidson-Davie Community College today announced the creation of the largest healthcare apprenticeship in North Carolina, with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist signing on as the college’s first healthcare partner under the new agreement. Students will be able to work in a healthcare profession while taking courses related to their career goals.
Local nonprofits receive Novant educational funding
Novant Health contributes nearly $1 million to community partners in support of education initiatives.
Astronomy Club: Gazing at the stars at Bull City
Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 8PM their club will be viewing the moon and will grant access for others to look through the Orion telescope at Bull City Ciderworks in Lexington. Others with telescopes are encouraged to bring their own. Saturn will begin to peek out around 10:30pm. This event is subject to weather and cloud cover.
Local schools Go Outside (GO) Grant provides supports field trips
The North Carolina Schools Go Outside (GO) Grant was created to address the main barrier to getting kids outside during the school day – funding. Field trips and outdoor experiences offer students opportunities to explore and learn in hands-on environments. With limited dollars available from our local school systems, such engaging and active styles of learning are becoming things of the past.

The Davidson County Public Library will be hosting a new, five-part discussion series at the Davidson County Historical Museum in Lexington for Fall/Winter 2022. The program will occur on the Third Thursday of each month, from 2:30 PM-3:30 PM.
