According to local law enforcement on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at approximately 6:00 am, The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Ledford Middle School in reference to an unconscious person on school premises.

Earlier today, January 25, 2023, Shantae Mccauley, one of the shooting victims from the incident on January 22, died as a result of his injuries.

Social Action Committee honors students
Thirteen scholarships were given to students and four superlatives awards. Please find pictures attached. There was a 14th Scholarship, $500-Tillie Richbourg Memorial Scholarship Award given to Claudia Davis, a student at Winston-Salem State University, who assisted with the 2023 MLK Oratorical Contest.
