American Legion Post 8 at 206 Wilfred Ave is preparing to start the fun again. We plan to begin the fun the first Saturday in January 2023. We will operate the first and third Saturday each month.

Civilians have a vague notion of what it’s like to have served in the military. Today, we proudly publish both oral and written stories. Adjusting to combat conditions or deployed life in peacetime is an experience only veterans understand. This Veterans Day, I had the honor of sitting down with Mr. John Medley who served in Korea.

Foundation Forward presented Davidson County Commissioners with a Certificate of Responsibility for “Charters of Freedom” located in The Square of Uptown Lexington on Thursday, October 27th at 11:00 am.
The mission is to show support for Veterans of all military conflicts, with a special emphasis on the Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as raise awareness about the challenges faced by many Veterans and the resources that are available at the county, state, and federal level to assist Veterans and their families.
