The Robert E. Lee Chapter 324, United Daughters of the Confederacy has maintained ownership of the Davidson County confederate monument since 1905. When ownership was determined and it was removed from Lexington’s square, the search began for new location. Organizers share their stories with Davidson Local.
High Rock Lake Clean Sweep is an annual cleanup on High Rock Lake. The sweep collected an estimated three tons of trash from both Davidson and Rowan County on Saturday, Sept. 18. Trash drop-off sites include Southmont Wildlife Boat Access (Davidson County) and Second Dutch Creek Wildlife Boat Access (Rowan County.).

Davidson Medical Ministries is a charitable clinic that has served the uninsured of Davidson County with quality health care since 1992. In 2005 a clinic was opened in Thomasville. In 2012 Davidson Medical Ministries partnered with Kintegra Health, a federally qualified health center to serve the under-insured.
Sunday, August 1st is the official kick off for the 2021-2022 United Way Campaign and it runs through November 30th. This is the “official” time of the year that local businesses and organizations come together to raise funds for the more than 25 Local Community Programs through fundraisers and Employee Giving.
