Hospice of Davidson County will host its 14th annual golf tournament on Thursday, April 13 at Sapona Country Club in Lexington. The four-person Captain’s Choice event encourages participants to organize their own team, but can also pair individual golfers.
The Martin Luther King Social Action Committee (MLK-SAC) announces the itinerary for the 2023 Martin Luther King National Holiday celebration in Thomasville, NC to be held Friday, January 13 through Monday, January 16, 2023. The celebration will mark the 37th Anniversary of the King National Holiday and the 22nd Anniversary of the local event.

Named after creatures of fierce strength and tenacity, the eight-year-old and up (8U) category of Lexington Gators brought home a second Central Carolina Youth Athletic League Championship (CCYALC) last Saturday.

The Salvation Army’s 2022 Angel Tree program is officially kicking off November 1 st . This year The Salvation Army of Davidson County has committed to providing gifts to almost 1,100 children and over 400 families. The Angel Tree Program provides new clothing and toys for children of families in need through the support of community donors.
The annual Halloween Safe Alternative Youth Party festivities is hosted by Anything For Our Youth Group & American Legion Post #255 (Lexington, NC). This event is intended to provide a safe environment for youth, as well as parents who want their kids to dress up and enjoy Halloween, trick or treating, with safety in mind.
Family Services of Davidson County (FSDC) on September 30 ended its expanded advocacy program which provided support and advocacy during the electronic filing of domestic violence protective orders. Loss of funding through the Governor’s Crime Commissions forced the end of services.
