A Thanksgiving Column: Finding My Voice… Again

Last Thanksgiving, Antionette Kerr was in a hospital bed receiving a blood transfusion after being airlifted—again. This year, she’s home, upright, and deeply grateful. Grateful for EMTs, doctors, neighbors, donated blood, and everyone who helped her make it through. She’s also frustrated after months of insurance delays that put her health at risk and believes real reform is urgently needed. She encourages anyone who can to donate blood—it truly saves lives.
