The battle over political maps in North Carolina continues. The fight hit home yesterday as fillings began in Davidson County. Municipal candidates were permitted to file. The start of North Carolina candidate filing for U.S. House and legislative seats was blocked on early on Monday by an appeals court panel then only restored hours later by the state Court of Appeals judges.

This is the 5th Annual Winter Wonderland Ball for our youth. This is Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc Signature Event. This event is to celebrate our youth for being great kids. Our intent is to give kids in our community an opportunity to dress up in their best and favorite outfits and come out for an evening of fun, delicious food, dancing and winter celebration.
In 2020, funding from the United Way and other donors allowed us to pivot, almost overnight, to provide childcare to emergency workers. Our families were so grateful to know that the Y was going to fill the gap in childcare so that they could continue to work on the frontlines.
