Local Veterans: Honored with driver Austin Dillon and No. 3 Dow
The 2022 Dow Salutes Veterans Chevrolet highlights Dow’s Military Degree Equivalency (MDE) program, and the work of Team Rubicon. In addition to honoring U.S. Military veterans, RCR will recognize long-time partner Dow with a special logo on the hood of the No. 3 Dow Salutes Veterans Chevrolet in celebration of the Company’s 125th Anniversary.
Moving closure starting next week on I-85 in Davidson County
Weather permitting, on Monday and Tuesday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, the contractor will conduct a slow-moving operation in the right lanes of I-85 between mile markers 96 and 103 in both the northbound and southbound directions. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely repair damaged pavement marking lines.
Election protest hearing: Lexington's Ward 5 school board election
A complaint submitted to the North Carolina Board of Elections will be considered by the Davidson County Board of Elections on Tuesday, June 14, at 6 p.m. at the Davidson County Government Building, 4th floor, in the Commissioners Room located at 913 Greensboro St. Lexington, NC 27292.

Three-month culvert replacement starting next week in Davidson County
Beginning June 13, the western end of Handy Road will be closed in both directions near Cabin Creek for about 45 days to allow contract crews to replace the first of two culverts beneath the roadway.

Meet Charles and Pamela Leonard of Gentle Harmony Farm, an organic medicinal herb farm located in the Yadkin River valley. When they purchased the property in 2008, they didn't intend for it to become a working farm as they had retired.
