After years of working in restaurants and retail management he knew he wanted to start his own business. Due to low start up costs and his passion for great food he started a food truck business. His menu relied on high quality ingredients and focused on simplicity that allowed the ingredients to shine. He wanted to source his ingredients locally however it became very difficult. Small farms were hard to come by in the area of Colorado where he and his wife resided at the time, this caused him to become interested in what it would take to grow his own ingredients. “I had a little experience with gardening from helping my mom and grandma in the garden when I was a kid, but I knew I had a lot I needed to learn,” he says.
Robert, Lori and Stephanie Wilkerson of Davidson County were honored as the 2021-22 Distinguished Civitan Family by North Carolina District West Civitan. Criteria for the family award include activities in Civitan, church and community. The district also presented Stephanie Wilkerson with The Honor Key Award for 2022. She served as the growth and retention chair this past year for the district and earned the outstanding cabinet member award. In May she had received the

On August 18, 2022, Felicia Biddix was arrested on a warrant for arrest for Felony Obstruction of Justice for actions she was involved in as a Lexington Police Officer. This arrest was made by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in consultation with the District Attorney’s Office. Felicia Biddix was released under a $5,000 unsecured bond.
