A Century of Service: American Children’s home hosts Centennial Celebration on June 21
LEXINGTON, N.C. – The American Children’s Home (ACH) invites the public to a special celebration marking 100 years of service to children and families. The Centennial Celebration will take place Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the ACH campus located at 3844 NC Highway 8, Lexington, NC.
The celebration will feature campus tours, food trucks, kids zone with bounce houses and the unveiling of the renewed museum honoring a century of compassion, care, and community. All are welcome to join in this historic milestone.
“For 100 years, the American Children’s Home has remained dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of children across North Carolina,” said Jeff Bays, Director of Development. “This celebration is an opportunity to honor our legacy, thank our supporters, and look ahead to the future with hope.”
Established in 1925 as the Junior Order Home orphanage, ACH has grown into a multi-faceted provider offering foster care, residential care, transitional living and child development. The Centennial Celebration will highlight the many lives changed through the support of community members, alumni, staff, and partners throughout the decades.
This is one of several commemorative events planned in 2025, including a Foster Parent Bash in May, the Rededication Ceremony during Homecoming Weekend on August 2 at 2:00, and the annual ACH Car & Craft Show on August 23.
Join us as we celebrate 100 years of hope, healing, and home.
