Tragic House Fire on Kimberly Lane Leaves Three Dead, One Hospitalized
On November 25, 2025, at approximately 4:30 AM, a fire occurred at 320 Kimberly Lane in Lexington, NC 27292. The Davidson County Fire Investigation Task Force conducted an investigation into the fire's origin and cause, producing preliminary findings indicating that the fire originated in a motorhome that was parked adjacent to a single-family residence and subsequently spread to the home itself.
At the time of the fire, there were five people inside the residence. Tragically, three individuals found themselves trapped inside; one was rescued and transported to the hospital, but unfortunately, all three victims ultimately succumbed to injuries related to the fire. The blaze caused extensive damage to the house, resulting in a collapsed roof and weakened floors, which presented significant challenges for the responding firefighters. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Agencies involved in the incident include the South Lexington Fire Department, the City of Lexington Fire Department, the Southmont Fire Department, the Linwood Fire Department, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, Davidson County EMS, the Davidson County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Davidson County Rescue Squad, the American Red Cross, the North Carolina Department of Insurance, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
