Press Release: American Children’s Home to Break Ground on Major Water Line Replacement Project
LEXINGTON, N.C. – The American Children’s Home will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate the start of a major water line replacement project that will modernize the campus infrastructure and support the Home’s mission of nurturing and empowering children across North Carolina.
This comprehensive project marks a significant investment in the safety, reliability, and sustainability of the American Children’s Home campus. The aging water system, which has served the organization for decades, will be fully replaced to ensure consistent service for residents, staff, and visitors well into the next century.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place on the American Children’s Home campus, located at 3844 NC Highway 8, and is open to the public. Community members, partners, and friends of the Home are invited to attend and celebrate this important milestone.
For nearly a century, the American Children’s Home has provided a place of hope, safety, and opportunity for children and families in need.
