Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Help Identifying Suspects in Southmont Theft

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals believed to be involved in the theft of multiple air conditioning units in the Southmont community.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the T.R.A.C.E. Team are investigating a larceny that occurred on or about Feb. 26, 2026 on Wafford Circle. During the incident, approximately six to ten air conditioning units were stolen from a residential property. A black utility trailer was also reported stolen.

Investigators say surveillance footage captured images of two individuals during the theft. Authorities are now asking the public to help identify the men seen in the footage.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information related to the case is asked to contact detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office T.R.A.C.E. Team at 336-242-2130.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Lexington Crime Stoppers, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 336-243-2400.

Officials encourage anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
