1st Annual Santa Paws Stroll – Thomasville
Friday, December 12 | 5–7 PM – Myers Dog Park
A new addition to the county’s holiday calendar, the Santa Paws Stroll invites families and their four-legged companions to enjoy a festive walk for a cause. Hosted by the Latino Association of Davidson County, this heartwarming event benefits the United Way of Davidson County. There is still time to register here.
Participants can enjoy holiday photo ops, special treats, and a relaxed evening surrounded by Christmas lights.
Thomasville Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 13 | Time 11:00 am – Downtown Thomasville
A beloved community tradition returns as the Thomasville Christmas Parade marches through downtown with festive floats, marching bands, local organizations, dancers, and Santa himself. Families line the streets each year to enjoy this cheerful kickoff to the holiday season. Expect plenty of music, bright costumes, and hometown holiday pride as Thomasville lights up for Christmas.
12th Annual Journey to Bethlehem

One of the county’s most meaningful Christmas traditions continues this weekend, Journey to Bethlehem, a powerful, immersive walk-through experience depicting the biblical story of Jesus’ birth. Visitors travel through recreated scenes featuring actors, costumes, and set pieces that bring the Nativity story to life.
This family-friendly event draws hundreds each year and offers a peaceful, reflective way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
Country Christmas Train – Denton FarmPark
December 12–14 | Evening Hours
A county favorite continues as the Country Christmas Train continues its seasonal run at Denton FarmPark. Visitors can board the train for a scenic ride through dazzling holiday light displays, explore the General Store, visit Santa’s workshop, enjoy Christmas treats, and browse local vendors.
Light of the World Church Festival of Lights – Lexington

The Festival of Lights hosted by the Light of the World Church continues to shine bright in Lexington, drawing visitors with glowing displays, illuminated walkways, food, shows, interactive photo spots and much more.
A standout attraction this year is Santa’s Toy Factory Experience, located near the S’mores station. Anyone can step into a magical workshop, dress in elf aprons and hats, and take part in many magical activities that bring Santa’s world to life.
