Shuck, Savor, Support: ACH Oyster Roast Brings Community Together October 3rd

Shuck, Savor, Support: ACH Oyster Roast Brings Community Together October 3rd

If you’re looking for a good meal that does good in the community, circle Friday, October 3 on your calendar. From 6 to 9 p.m., the American Children’s Home (ACH) will host its 4th Annual Oyster Roast & Low Country Boil at Weathervane Winery, 1452 Welcome Arcadia Road in Welcome.

This popular fall fundraiser brings together oyster lovers, community supporters, and local music fans for an evening of food, fellowship, and philanthropy. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters plus a Southern spread of Low Country boil, chicken tenders, potato salad, cornbread, banana pudding, and more. Non-alcoholic drinks are included and adult beverages will be available for purchase. Davis Tucker will provide live music, and a silent auction will add extra excitement to the night.

All proceeds benefit ACH’s work with children and families in North Carolina, funding residential care, foster services, and early childhood support programs. This year’s event also coincides with the organization’s centennial celebration — 100 years of caring for children since 1925.

Tickets are on sale now through American Children’s Home’s online portal and at allevents.in. Seating is first-come, so early arrival is encouraged.

For ACH, the oyster roast is more than a night out — it’s a way to keep vital services running for some of the most vulnerable children in our state. “Events like this are how we bring the community together to support our mission,” says ACH leadership.

Whether you’re an oyster fanatic or just looking for a great Friday night with friends, you’ll be shucking for a cause that matters.
