LEXINGTON, NC – The Lexington Fire Department will be conducting Live Fire Evolutions training on an acquired structure located at 1238 Old Hargrave Road on September 27, 28, and 30 from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Multiple fire units will assist and participate in the training. There will be no interruption of emergency services to the public during this time. However, residents should be aware that the department will be using hydrants on Old Hargrave Road, which may cause minor traffic disruptions and temporary water discoloration in the area. Traffic may be reduced to one lane, with cones in place for safety and control.

The training will conclude by 3:00 p.m. each day.

“This type of training allows our firefighters to gain experience in a real residential structure, which offers valuable skill development that cannot be duplicated with simulation props,” the department noted. “We are committed to ensuring our team has the most up-to-date training and realistic simulations possible.”

The department expressed appreciation for the community’s patience during this exercise. Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact the Lexington Fire Department directl
