Living Joyfully: Bethany Church of Lexington to Host Living Joyfully Women’s Retreat

Bethany Church of Lexington will host its upcoming Women’s Retreat titled “Living Joyfully” on Saturday, March 14, 2026, bringing together nationally known Christian speakers and worship leaders for a day of encouragement, testimony and fellowship.

The event will take place at Bethany Church, 193 Bethany Road in Lexington, with doors opening at 8 a.m. for light refreshments and the retreat program beginning at 9 a.m. A boxed lunch will be provided for participants.

Organizers say the retreat is designed to inspire women in the community through faith-based teaching, personal testimony and worship.

Tiffany Johnson: A Story of Survival and Faith

One of the featured speakers will be Tiffany Johnson, a Christian author and speaker whose life changed dramatically after surviving a shark attack during a scuba diving trip. The attack resulted in the loss of her right arm, but Johnson has since used her experience to share a message of hope and resilience.

Johnson now speaks internationally about overcoming adversity and trusting God through life’s unexpected challenges. Her message often focuses on perseverance and faith, encouraging audiences to see hardship not as the end of their story but as the beginning of transformation.

Through speaking engagements and writing, she emphasizes practical ways to process hardship and find purpose even in life’s most difficult seasons.

Michele Wilson: From Fear to Faith

Also speaking at the retreat is Michele Wilson, a Christian speaker and author known for sharing a deeply personal testimony about faith.

Wilson’s journey began with a terrifying moment when she witnessed her young son being struck by a car. According to Wilson, that experience led her to a powerful encounter with God and a renewed faith in Jesus Christ.

Today she travels to churches and conferences sharing how that moment of fear turned into a defining spiritual awakening. Her presentations encourage women to trust God more deeply and to boldly share their faith with others.

Niki Hardy: Finding Hope in Life’s Hardest Moments

The retreat will also feature Niki Hardy, a British-born author, speaker and cancer survivor who now lives in the United States.

Hardy is the author of several books including Breathe Again: How to Live Well When Life Falls Apart. Her work focuses on helping people navigate suffering, doubt and unexpected life changes while maintaining faith and hope.

After being diagnosed with stage III rectal cancer, Hardy began sharing her story publicly, offering encouragement to those facing illness or loss. Her speaking style blends honesty, humor and vulnerability while guiding audiences toward a deeper connection with God.

Her message emphasizes that life does not have to be free of pain in order to be meaningful or joyful.

Worship Led by Sarah Davison of High Road

Music during the retreat will be led by Sarah Davison, founder of the Grammy-nominated bluegrass gospel group High Road. Davison is a singer, songwriter and accomplished pianist who graduated from Belmont University and has collaborated with numerous artists in the country and gospel music industries.

Her worship leadership is expected to provide a musical foundation for the day’s sessions, creating an atmosphere of reflection and celebration.

A Day of Encouragement for Women

Bethany Church organizers say the goal of the retreat is to create space for women to connect with one another and deepen their faith while hearing stories of resilience and transformation.

Tickets for the event are $25, and participants are encouraged to register by March 1. Registration includes the full program, refreshments, lunch and a special gift for attendees.

Bethany Church of Lexington is a nondenominational Christian church serving the Lexington community through worship services, ministries and outreach programs.
