Monday: Local government closings
Due to winter weather conditions, Davidson County has cancelled the Board of Commissioners meeting and the DSS Board meeting scheduled for later today. County offices are closed.
City of Lexington offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. Public safety and emergency services will continue to operate. City employees are advised to refer to the Inclement Weather policy and contact their department leaders with any questions.
Residents can report Lexington Utilities outages at www.lexingtonnc.gov/outage. Updates on closures and delays will be shared through official city and county government websites, social media pages and local news outlets.
The City of Thomasville will also be closed due to winter weather. There will be no garbage collection on Monday.
The Town of Denton could not be reached at the time of publication and its website was not operational. Residents are encouraged to monitor official Town of Denton communication channels for updates as conditions change.
