Lexington City Schools Names Tracy Dalton Director of Transportation

Lexington City Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Dalton as the district’s new Director of Transportation, effective January 31, 2026.

With 28 years of dedicated service to Lexington City Schools, Dalton brings deep institutional knowledge and a proven commitment to student safety, operational excellence, and reliable transportation services for students and families across the district.

In her new role, Dalton will oversee all aspects of district transportation operations, including route planning, fleet management, safety compliance, and staff supervision, ensuring continued excellence in day-to-day service and operations.

“Tracy has earned the trust of the Lexington City Schools community through years of dedication and service,” said district leadership. “Her experience and leadership reflect the district’s commitment to developing and promoting leaders from within.”
