Press Release: Davidson County Sheriff charges local school faculty member

On March 6, 2024, administrators with the Davidson County School System became aware of a possible inappropriate relationship between a faculty member and a student at North Davidson High School.

 They immediately alerted investigators with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and an investigation was initiated. 

The Faculty Member, Jackson Alexander Perrell was suspended from his duties and detained by detectives for further investigation. 

After a preliminary Investigation Detectives have initially charged Perrell with one count of Indecent Liberties with a Student. 

Perrell was taken to the Davidson County Magistrate and received a court date of April 30, 2024 in Davidson County. 

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information should contact Detective D. Dennis at (336)242-2051 or the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office at (336)242-2105.

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office would like to commend the Davidson County School System in their diligent efforts to protect their students and their continued partnership with law enforcement.
