According to a social media post on June 12, a visitor to Sliding Rock in Transylvania County stated they had to pull a boy out of the water and that the adults, identified as coaches with Central Davidson High School wrestling team, did not attempt to rescue him. Davidson County Schools calls the social media post “not completely accurate.”
