At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday, an officer with the Lexington Police Department was on patrol in the area of West Fifth Avenue and Southbound Avenue and observed a white male standing on the bridge overlooking the railroad tracks. The officer reported that the male jumped from the bridge railing landing on the tracks below.
Navy veteran Mike Loomis and wife Lorie will host “A Night of Remembrance” for those lost to overdose and suicide on Nov. 19th from 6pm to 8pm on the steps of the old courthouse.
With the conclusion of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the growing amount of suicides and rate of depression in the US must be recognized.
