Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Central North Carolina

Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Central North Carolina

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of central North Carolina from 6 p.m. this evening through 10 a.m. Thursday.

Mixed precipitation is expected, with up to one inch of snow possible along with a light glaze of ice. Roads may become slick, especially bridges and overpasses, creating hazardous travel conditions.

Residents are urged to slow down and use caution while driving. Pedestrians should also be careful on stairs, sidewalks and driveways, which could become icy and increase the risk of falls.
