Birthed out of a desire to impact the city on a larger scale, four churches formed a partnership that has been life changing. In 2017, Dave Fulton led the effort for First Reformed to find ways to reach out more to the community. He reached out to St. Stephen United Methodist Church, Shady Side Presbyterian Church and Second Reformed United Church of Christ. We were looking for ministries that we as a group could do that were maybe bigger than any one church could do alone.
Whereas, racism is also present in more subtle and passive forms in social and institutional settings where systems of discrimination prevent the hiring and/or upward mobility of gifted and qualified individuals.

Regardless of what color you prefer - Dem Blue, Republican Red or Libertarian Green - we love that this primary campaign season showed your true hues. After spending two whole days of pounding the pavement for Davidson Local, I saw hugs and high fives that crossed divides and partisan boundaries. We need more of that!
With Snider being gone for a few days, police were sent out to find him since after some time he was posted as a missing person. Without any luck, Harley finally suggested that they look back at the crime scene, and after days of investigation, Snider was arrested for not only fraud, but for the kidnapping as well. “Turns out, Snider actually attended this wedding, and due to his suspicious activity we thought it would be best to search him.” An investigator explained to Viola and Harley. “The missing person was found in his house, and through questioning of both the victim and Snider, we’ve concluded that the culprit was him all along.”

An Arts Academy at Grace piano student since 2016, she began lessons when she was taking care of her mother, who had Alzheimer’s. Arts Academy at Grace (AAG) is located at Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington, and welcomes people of all ages from throughout the community.

Zachary and his wife, Monica, are the owners/operators of Rierson Farms NC, which was officially registered in March of 2021, however, the passion for growing was cultivated way back.
The Lexington Farmers Market at the Depot will kick off the 2022 market season with Opening Day on Saturday, May 7 from 8 am to Noon. The farmers market will be open every Saturday morning through October 8, 2022.

First Reformed invites the public to come to “The Stations of Holy Week on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Holy Week, April 14-16, 2022. This is a walk-through, multi-sensory worship experience for all ages. After entering the sanctuary, you will go to different interactive prayer stations that depict scenes from the last week of Jesus’ life.

Members of the arts community came together for food, fun and the celebration of local art and culture at the inaugural From Langston to Lexington with Love. The event was hosted by the newly formed Black Butterfly Network.
The culinary artist behind the menu for the Inaugural Black Butterfly event is inspired by many traditional favorite dishes. The menu is an homage to the heritage of certain foods like okra, black-eyed peas and crispy fried chicken. Clarence Vernon Hargrave reimagined many of these staples and developed a menu that granted a modern twist. {Chocolate Bread Pudding with Vanilla-Bourbon Creme}
Locally, the Women’s Political Caucus was selected because it was non-partisan. Members were white and black, Democrats and Republicans, and even one or two unaffiliated. Ages were between 35 and 75.
