In honor of the fraternity’s Founders Day, November 17th, Eta Beta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated in partnership with the Thomasville Police Department conducted an Omega March For Justice program focusing on "Surviving the Traffic Stop" for some of the seniors at Thomasville Senior High School.
Supporters of Charles McNeair are renewing calls for the governor to grant him clemency — and they’re referencing coverage from the local press, including a recent High Point Enterprise article, to amplify the urgency. According to the Enterprise, community leaders, family members, and even law-enforcement officials have added their voices to the push for McNeair’s release.
According to CDC-based estimates, about 1% of adults in the United States live with active epilepsy. In Davidson County, that translates to roughly 1,780 residents—neighbors, classmates, coworkers, and family members navigating a condition that can be unpredictable and, at times, deadly.

On September 12, it will be three years since a local Lexington resident had a clemency petition filed by Attorney Jamie Lau from Duke University’s Wrongful Conviction Clinic - and he’s still waiting on an answer.

Sanchez encourages all immigrants and members of the Latino community to learn from the past. "If you want to know where you are heading, go back and look at the past to see what worked and what didn't," she advises. She stresses the importance of doing your own research and forming your own opinions rather than being guided by what you see or hear on the news.
