More than 3 million North Carolinians are now fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. This is a remarkable step forward in our fight against the pandemic, and soon we can begin safely returning to our lives. But scammers have used the pandemic as an excuse to take advantage of people for the past year, and they’re still at it. The next fight against COVID-19 vaccine scams is stopping the spread and use of false vaccine cards.

North advances in 2AA playoffs

North Davidson jumped out to a dominating lead quickly on Oak Grove in the second round of the 2aa playoffs. In the end Oak Grove couldn't quite overcome the Knights big first half and North Davidson went on to advance to round 3 of the playoffs by a score of 34-23. Governor Cooper outlines timeline for lifting state’s COVID-19 restrictions

Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Mandy K. Cohen, M.D. laid out a timeline for lifting current pandemic restrictions today. With stable trends and continued vaccination success, the state expects to lift mandatory social distancing, capacity, and mass gathering restrictions by June 1. The Governor plans to issue an executive order next week outlining safety restrictions for the month of May.

Honoring the life and leadership of Elder Gloria Cross

After a short and unexpected hospitalization, Elder Gloria Cross’s family announced that the well-known leader went on to be with her Creator last Sunday, April 17th. Services for our beloved Chapter President, Elder Gloria Cross will be held this weekend.

Public Viewing will be Saturday April 24, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Service 701 N. Main Street Lexington, NC 27292 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Sunday April 25, 2021 at the Breeden Insurance Amphitheater, 333 S. Main Street in Uptown Lexington, at 2pm.
