On Thursday, February 24, beginning at 8a.m. numerous citizens across Davidson County will finally get to follow through with an action some have been attempting since last year: file to run for a local office.
Emily Hege scored 44 points which pushed her above a record her dad has held for years. He had the record for the most points scored in Davidson County by a male of 2203. Emily finished the night with 2231.

The Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce and Thomasville Chamber of Commerce are offering the 32nd class of Leadership Davidson County sessions. Applications will be accepted at either the Thomasville or Lexington Chamber office at this time until March 7th.

The likelihood of encountering a person who has lived over a century is rare. The probability of encountering a person who has lived nearly a century is rare, too. And the likelihood of meeting multiple persons in one family who fit the previous descriptions, well, that’s like finding that elusive needle in a haystack.
