Friends of the Davidson County Library Host Book Sale, Seeking Vinyl Record Donations
The Friends of the Davidson County Library will host a book sale this Saturday, inviting community members to shop a wide selection of books while supporting local library programs and services.
The Friends group regularly raises funds through the sale of donated items, including books and jigsaw puzzles, which help support literacy initiatives and library resources throughout Davidson County. Organizers say the sale is one of several upcoming efforts aimed at strengthening community engagement with the library.
While vinyl records are not currently part of the sale, the Friends of the Library are actively seeking vinyl donations as interest in records continues to grow. Vinyl has seen a resurgence nationwide, particularly among younger audiences and collectors who value physical media and analog sound.
Community members interested in donating vinyl records are encouraged to contact Robin Griffin at 251-363-5941 for more information.
Supporters of the library say reading remains an important alternative to screen time. “Reading keeps me away from the television,” one library supporter shared, echoing the Friends group’s broader mission of promoting lifelong learning.
Organizers note that additional events and opportunities are planned in the coming months and encourage residents to stay connected with the library and join the Friends group for updates.
