Two injured in stabbing, suspect apprehended

Two Injured in Stabbing in Lexington North Carolina—On Friday, January 2, 2026, at approximately 5:32 p.m., Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to a reported stabbing at 2719 Arnold Rd., Lexington, North Carolina (Davidson County).

Upon arrival, Deputies located two victims suffering from stab wounds. Davidson County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported both victims to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, both victims are reported to be in stable condition.

Patrol Deputies identified the suspect as Phillip Anthony Hill, age 26, and quickly apprehended him without incident. Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded and started an investigation, which revealed that Hill allegedly stabbed two family members before fleeing the residence.

Hill was arrested and charged with two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. He was transported to the Davidson County Detention Center and appeared before a magistrate. Due to Hill being on pretrial release on existing criminal charges, no bond was set by the magistrate. Hill is scheduled to appear in Davidson District Court, Lexington on January 5, 2026.

Per North Carolina General Statute 15A-532, Judicial officials determine conditions for release of persons in Judicial proceedings. Bond amounts are not set by members of law enforcement. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
