No bond set for Thomasville man charged with double homicide

Christopher Rhodes, 40 of Thomasville made his first appearance before a judge at a courtroom in Davidson County yesterday, March 27, 2024. He appears a day after being arrested and charged with double homicide for the murders of Javon McCall, 40 of High Point and another victim who still remains unidentified at this time. Both victims were discovered deceased in a room at the Budget Inn Motel on North Road. 

After a brief investigation, Rhodes was arrested by both the Thomasville Police Department and the High Point Police Department without incident.

 Police believe that Rhodes knew both of the victims and revealed that his motive behind the murders has not been named.

 No bond was set by the judge during Rhode’s first appearance in court, his next court date in Davidson County will be on April 10, 2024.

If Rhodes is convicted, he could face the death penalty.
