A heartfelt call for support is going out to residents of Davidson County as a meaningful community fundraiser enters its final stretch. The event, which wraps up this week on August 8 and 9, 2025, aims to uplift some of the most vulnerable populations in our community—disadvantaged high school students, rising freshmen, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those in need of shelter.
Transformation Church NC, just three months old, is hosting its first major fundraiser on Saturday, June 28 to raise money for purchasing its building and to support Pastor Andy Clarke, who is undergoing chemotherapy. The event includes an all-you-can-eat breakfast (7–11 a.m.), a spaghetti dinner (4–7 p.m.), bounce houses for kids, a community yard sale, bake sale, and lemonade stand. Yard sale spot fees and bake sale proceeds will go directly to Pastor Andy and his family. Meals are $10 each, and everyone is invited to come out, eat, shop, and support a growing church and a beloved pastor.
This fundraiser will help immensely to reach recipients of meals are typically at least 62 years old. In 2022, Meals on Wheels provided over 19,000 meals. The fundraiser will be held at Christos on Main St. and Cotton Grove Rd. December 12, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. eat in and take out,

United Way of Davidson County will host their 1st Annual Oyster Roast on Saturday, November 11th, at the Goose & The Monkey Brewhouse in Lexington. The event will begin at 6:00 PM.
